Aziz Ansari lands 10-episode order for untitled Netflix sitcom

The trades are abuzz with Netflix’s latest TV series acquisition, even if Netflix hasn’t released the news officially and nobody knows what the new comedy will be called!

That’s because it’ll star Aziz Ansari, who co-created the as-yet-untitled sitcom with his Parks and Recreation colleague Alan Yang that has received a 10-episode order from the streaming service.

Joining Ansari on the half-hour comedy filming in NYC: H. Jon Benjamin, Lena Waithe, Eric Wareheim, Noël Wells and Kelvin Yu.

Ansari and Yang are executive producing alongside Mike Schur and the 3 Arts team of Dave Becky and David Miner. James Ponsoldt is directing and Universal Television is producing.

Congrats all!
