Justin Bieber turns 21 on March 1, and what music superstar idol turned rapscallion and ne’er-do-well wouldn’t want to be given a dose of comeuppance by famous funny people?
That’s the idea behind Comedy Central’s announcement this week that Bieber will star as the next victim of its celebrity roasts.
The “Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber” (#BieberRoast) will tape in Los Angeles at an unspecified date soon, to take advantage of Bieber’s birthday.
“Justin has been asking us for a few years to roast him, and we just kept telling him to go create more source material first. We’re thrilled he listened,” said Kent Alterman, President, Content Development & Original Programming, Comedy Central.
Finally after all that hard work for my 21st bday it's happening. Thanks @RyanSeacrest & @ComedyCentral for the announcement. Let's do it 🙂

Dane Cook told The Comic’s Comic that Bieber reiterated his desire to get roasted since then: “He was just at the club a couple of nights ago and he came up to me beforehand and said, ‘Please, make fun of me!'”
No word yet on who’ll be filling the roast dais to take verbal jabs at Bieber’s expense for Comedy Central.
