The surviving members of legendary sketch group Monty Python reunited for a greatest-hits-and-then-some live stage spectacular that debuted the first of 10 shows Tuesday night at The O2 arena in London. Their final, final reunion show on July 20, 2014, also will be broadcast live in cinemas worldwide.
But before we could see Monty Python Live, the old chaps treated us to a press conference, dress rehearsal footage, and an introduction by fellow British legends of their era — The Rolling Stones.
So let’s try to keep this chronological, this first day in the rest of our lives that saw John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin back together again, performing everything we’ve loved for 40 years and more.
