Carl Reiner reads his 70-year-old poem, “Ode To the Buttocks Bountiful,” on The Arsenio Hall Show

Carl Reiner appeared as a guest Tuesday night on Arsenio, and when he saw Arsenio Hall welcome a spoken-word act to the program, Reiner wanted to read a little something of his own.

This is “Ode To the Buttocks Bountiful,” a 70-year-old poem the young Reiner wrote and still remembers. As he does with the rest of his new memoir, “I Remember Me.”
