Joe Mande shows us his “BITCHFACE” in a comedy mixtape

What’s more impressive, having a million Twitter followers or having your own comedy mixtape?

If you’re Joe Mande, then both. But really the latter. Because you can buy a million Twitter followers — as Mande as openly acknowledged doing to play with our notions of the importance of social media — while getting NBA players Blake Griffin and Roy Hibbert, rappers Fabolous, The RZA and “Jeopardy” champion Ken Jennings to shout you out on a stand-up comedy album is very real and impressive.

Mande turned his stand-up recording into a full-on mixtape complete with mid-joke voiceovers and sound effects. Joe Mande’s 22-track “Bitchface” on Greedhead Music came out today, streaming via Soundcloud and Complex.com. It’ll go on sale March 14, 2014.

Here’s a video teaser, too:

Mande’s comedy friends, including Aziz Ansari, Jenny Slate, Nick Kroll and Amy Poehler, chip in with voicemails and banter, too. Mande tours with Ansari and writes for the show he’s on, NBC’s Parks and Recreation.
