Patton Oswalt’s fully-improvised “Star Wars” plot, cut from NBC’s “Parks and Recreation”

Patton Oswalt guest-stars on this week’s episode of Parks and Recreation on NBC as a Pawnee resident who filibusters a city council meeting by talking about whatever is on his mind. What’s on his mind? Star Wars. Nothing…but…Star Wars. Specifically, his proposal for Episode VII of the Star Wars movie franchise, due in cinemas in 2015.

It didn’t make the cut for the TV episode. Producers, however, wise and knowing of the powers of the Force of the Internet, made it available for us to consume already.

As Oswalt noted: “This is something I riffed in my PARKS AND RECREATIONS episode, which premiers this Thursday. It is NOT in the episode — but you can watch it here. I really hope you like it. I am a sad, old man.”

Roll the clip! Long live Boba Fett!
