In this brave not-so-brave old new world, stand-up comedians can record, produce and distribute their material however they so desire.

And in 2013, Harland Williams chose to record “Force of Nature” in the desert. The Mojave Desert. On Monday night’s episode of Conan, Williams explained why the comedy clubs could no longer contain his comedy. Will the audiences follow? Did they?

  1. I like the idea! Seems surreal and adds to Williams’ comedy style. Imagine a punchline and instead of a dark room of strangers laughing at it you hear a response from the Jim Morrison trip-out desert.
