In honor of MTV2’s decision to reboot Nick Cannon’s improv comedy series, Wild ‘N Out, let’s look back at some past episodes from the four seasons that originally aired on MTV from 2005-2007.
The series pitted two teams of comedians against one another in short-form improv games, with one team usually hosted by a celebrity. Wild ‘N Out also showcased several comedians who would go on to become more or less famous in the five years since going off the air. Among them: Kevin Hart, Katt Williams, Affion Crockett, Corey Holcomb, Mikey Day and current Saturday Night Live cast member Taran Killam.
Season four’s premiere featured Snoop Dogg. Notice how Killam back then wore a cap and a tie, and if you skip ahead to the 12-minute mark, you get to see him drop some rhymes!? Nice. Roll it when you’re ready.
A fan made a compilation of several Katt Williams appearances during the freestyle rap battles:
Meanwhile, if you’d ever like to see Mr. Kevin Hart fail at freestyle rap, this be your jam. Don’t feel bad for Kev, though. He sold out two shows at Madison Square Garden this past weekend in 2012. He’s doing just fine.
Who will emerge from the 2013 edition of Wild ‘N Out?
