Ed Asner to be honored at third annual Great American Comedy Festival in Nebraska

Johnny Carson's hometown of Norfolk, Neb., is playing host this weekend to the third annual Great American Comedy Festival, where Ed Asner will be honored on Saturday with a "Comedy Legend" award.

The fest is put together by comedian Eddie Brill, the comedy booker and warm-up act for Late Show with David Letterman.

As in the first two years, the festival also includes family-friendly shows, late-night shows and a contest for 20 up-and-coming stand-up acts. Larry Miller will host and headline the finals on Saturday. This year's participants include Joe Wong, Kellen Erskine, Joe DeVito, Mike Macrae, Ms. Pat, Andy Pitz, Andy Hendrickson, Pat McGann, Aparna Nancherla, John Ramsey, Cy Amundson, Troy Walker, Steve Mazan, Brian Moote, Josh Gondelman, Bryan Kellen, Tommy Ryman, Andy Ritchie, Mike E. Winfield and Auggie Smith.
