An update from a previous report: The NYC branch of the Laugh Factory, under new management, now officially goes by the moniker Times Square Comedy Club. The new site boasts that it’s "the world’s largest comedy club" with four rooms, a 300-seat mainstage, 140- and 120-seat cabaret side stages and a 99-seat screening room. The site pops up as a sponsored link in most Google searches for "comedy," which might explain the location-based name change. Yet another evolutionary step for a Times Square venue, from strip club to Jamie Masada’s Laugh Factory, to now a full-service family-oriented comedy business offering "clean" improv and magic shows in addition to nightly stand-up.

I really like working at this club. I find in clubs where the comics have the most fun, that spills over to the crowd. Plus the crowds are a great mix of locals and tourists. Feels more like a professional venue than most NYC clubs. A nice touch of Vegas in the heart of NYC. Walter
