⭐⭐⭐½
It feels like an insult slotting a sprightly character comedian in a spare classroom named Pip in the daylight hours of Fringe. Almost as if the Fringe itself read the title of Susan Harrison’s delightful showcase and thought, well, let’s really make her ask the question this month. She deserves better.
Harrison brings what she can to the space, though, filling the room with her energy and the boldness of her characters, which include a Sindy dolls, a live podcaster (complete with ad breaks), a panda commenting back on us from the zoo, and in an inspired piece of crowd work, hosting a press conference as a woman who, wait for it, swallowed a girl who was trapped inside a well. Some things you just have to see and hear for yourselves.
