Jon Stewart will do a new stand-up special for HBO, and take his “Night of Too Many Stars” there, too

Jon Stewart’s planned animated satire for HBO may have never gotten off of the drawing board, but he’s got something bigger planned now. Stewart will film his first stand-up special in decades for HBO, and he’ll also bring his biennial Night of Too Many Stars benefit for autism to the network, too. Just For Laughs is headed for South Africa in 2018

As South African comedians have begun making names for themselves in America, now Just For Laughs will be spreading its comedy festival brand to South Africa. JFL announced today during its 35th annual signature fest in Montreal that it’ll debut Just For Laughs Africa in 2018 in Durban, South Africa.
