Tape Face — aka The Boy With Tape On His Face — won the Panel Award at Edinburgh Fringe in 2012, and has won multiple awards from Chortle and from the Adelaide Fringe. So it’s about time for him to conquer America, yes? That’s the plan. And it began tonight on the 2016 season premiere of America’s Got Talent on NBC, where the judges didn’t know what to make of him. Just For Laughs has announced the lineup for its fifth annual edition of JFL42, a 42-show headliner stand-up comedy festival held at the end of September in Toronto. Getting top billing in 2016? Jim Gaffigan, Tig Notaro, Trevor Noah, Jim Jefferies, Roseanne Barr, Anthony Jeselnik, Demetri Martin and Chris D’Elia.
