Kurt Braunohler’s “The Love Butt Tour” for Comedy Central

Last summer, comedian Kurt Braunohler jet-skiied the Mississippi River to raise money for charity and filmed it all for a Comedy Central webseries. For his latest tricked-out summer tour for Comedy Central, Braunohler is driving what appears to be a giant butt across the country. As he explained this morning: “Today I will begin driving a butt across the United States of America. It is a large butt. It is 14-feet tall, 15-feet long, 8-feet wide and weighs 1600 lbs. R.I.P. Jack Carter (1922-2015)

Before anyone else could claim to be “the pit bull of comedy,” before anyone else turned anger directly into laughs, Jack Carter stood tall amongst all comers in the comedy game, ever ready with a bitter supply of hilarious one-liners and bits. Carter died over the weekend at his home in Beverly Hills from respiratory failure. He had just turned 93. So at the end of 2014, comedian Zach Broussard parodied the form by blowing it up, posting his own “Top 1000 Comedians...

The second season of stand-up showcase, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, premieres late-night Tuesday on Comedy Central after @midnight. If you’re lucky in Los Angeles this week, you’ll see co-host Jonah Ray spinning a custom-made sign on the sidewalks. “I was thinking of wearing short-shorts, tank tops and a headband,” Ray told The Comic’s Comic. Emily V. Gordon, the show’s producer, immediately approved the idea. “Clothes are very important and they make the man,” deadpanned Ray. Gordon added: “And a lack of clothes also is sometimes important.” I had to ask Ray what he’d be wearing, seeing as...
