The CW importing Taskmaster For Summer 2020

Taskmaster is crossing the pond this summer, allowing American audiences this August to get a taste of what comedians and actors are willing to put themselves through to entertain comedian/actor Greg Davies.

Comedy Central put out one season of an American edition of Taskmaster in 2018, starring Reggie Watts as the master putitng Lisa Lampanelli, Freddie Highmore, Ron Funches, Dillon Francis, and Kate Berlant through their paces. Alex Horne, Taskmaster’s creator and assistant to Davies in the original, also served as Watts’s assistant/umpire.

Now Davies and Horne get to show American audiences the original British farce in action.

You’ll get to watch Davies and Horne tasking the likes of BAFTA winning comedian Iain Stirling (voice of Love Island UK), actor and writer Joe Thomas (The Inbetweeners, Fresh Meat), acclaimed stand-up Lou Sanders (The Late Late Show with James Corden, 8 Out of 10 Cats), comedian and champion quizzer Paul Sinha (The Chase, Tonight At The Palladium), and BAFTA winning actor Sian Gibson (Peter Kay’s Car Share, Murder On the Blackpool Express).

Taskmaster premieres Aug. 2, 2020, on The CW, airing at 9 p.m. Sundays ET/PT.
