How some late-night TV hosts handling coronavirus quarantine with at-home monologues for viewers

With late-night TV productions shut down, and networks airing repeats in their place, some hosts have taken to recording ad hoc monologues from home or remotely to at least give some viewers (and themselves) some comfort during the global pandemic of coronavirus and self-quarantining.

Here’s a look at some of the first couple of nights…

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

On day one, Colbert broadcast from his bathtub:

On day two, he went longer from his backyard fire pit, with extended bits and sketches from his staff:

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Fallon broadcast from home on Tuesday with his wife behind the camera, and his daughter and dog joining in, sort of:

Jimmy Kimmel Live

Kimmel’s family joined in Tuesday, too, from home.

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah

Noah and his crew have plenty of videos coming out this week. He began with a PSA, and moved onto comedy from there.

Conan

Conan O’Brien has been delivering his own PSAs from home, too.
