ABC goes live with The Conners for the 2020 New Hampshire presidential primary election

The broadcast networks have gone live with sitcoms before, from Roc to The Drew Carey Show to 30 Rock to Undateable. That’s FOX to ABC to NBC.

But tonight’s live airings of The Conners for the East Coast and West Coast come with a twist: the ABC family sans Roseanne also will be watching and commenting on the results of the Democratic presidential primary election in New Hampshire as they come in.

Good thing The Conners executive producer Bruce Helford has experience with this, having helmed The Drew Carey Show.

Plus, the cast aired a live promo during Sunday’s nights telecast of The Academy Awards.

I’ll be updating this post after, if applicable.

OK, so here’s how they swapped jokes and stats to prove they were watching the primary live as results were still coming in.

East Coast…

West Coast…
