Melissa McCarthy and others to sub for James Corden on The Late Late Show for Dec. 9-18, 2019

James Corden’s film career is getting in the way of his late-night TV hosting career.

So CBS is getting a load of guest stars to sub for Corden and host The Late Late Show in his absence, starting next Monday (Dec. 9, 2019) through Dec. 18, 2019.

Among the guest hosts: Alicia Keys; Chance the Rapper; Jeff Goldblum; Ken Jeong; Melissa McCarthy; and Harry Styles, who previously guest-hosted the show in December 2017. Each will guest host one night of The Late Late Show, with more specific scheduling to be announced.

“We are of course going to miss James during these two weeks of shows,” said Executive Producers Ben Winston and Rob Crabbe. “But it’s a great consolation that we have some of the biggest stars in the world to step into his shoes. We are really looking forward to these exciting, entertaining and ambitious weeks of shows.”

Corden has a gig on the upcoming film The Prom. He’ll also be seen this month in the movie adaptation of the Broadway musical, Cats.
