Announcing TLB Records

The Laugh Button has corralled 800 Pound Gorilla Records and Robert Kelly’s RiotCast Podcast Network into launching a new, joint record label called TLB Records.

They’ll debut formally next week with the release of Mike Feeney’s “Rage Against The Routine.” Feeney’s stand-up album, recorded at New York Comedy Club, will stream Nov. 1 on SiriusXM’s Raw Dog Comedy channel, then become available everywhere digitally on Nov. 5.

You can preview the tracks “The Solution To Gun Control” & “Don’t Travel High” from Feeney’s RATR album at the links.

The Laugh Button (TLB) will host an official Laugh Button Live event at The Stand Comedy Club in New York City on Nov. 6 as part of the New York Comedy Festival to celebrate the album release and launch of TLB Records.

Full disclosure: The Laugh Button, in addition to running its own online editorial operations writing about comedy, is part of The Syndicate, an entertainment marketing agency that produces live events, has a podcast on the RiotCast network, does PR and marketing for companies, and even sells advertising for sites like this one right here.

“I have been working with The Laugh Button for years, so that was a no brainer,” said Kelly, who launched his podcast network in 2011. “But if I have to be honest, partnering up with a company called 800 Pound Gorilla is intimidating. Then I found out the name of their company had nothing to do with their physical appearance, but everything to do with the way they attack a project. Physically they are real nerdy looking. I’m very proud of the podcast network, but now to join forces with two of the biggest and best companies in the business, we can finally give our talent the growth potential they need. This is going to be Epic!”

“We love everything about this alliance,” says The Laugh Button Editor-In-Chief Matt Kleinschmidt. “Robert is one of the best comedians working on any comedy stage today. He has an amazing ability to identify and bring that talent out in others. He was also one of our earliest supporters of The Laugh Button. The synergy when we first met 800 Pound Gorilla was undeniable. Their enthusiasm for comedy, business ideology and complementary skillset, allowed us to become fast collaborators.”

Ryan Bitzer, co-founder of 800 Pound Gorilla, based out of Nashville, added: “We’ve watched The Laugh Button grow from an editorial outlet to a production and event brand over the last few years. We’re excited to pair our digital marketing prowess with their team’s talents while executing the comedic vision of Robert Kelly.”
