Here’s the writing staff for season 45 of Saturday Night Live

Saturday Night Live kicked off season 45 last night, and while much of the news coming into the season premiere dealt with the comings and goings of cast members, there’s also some movement among the writing staff to report.

The guys from BriTANick (Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher) have left after two years, off to Los Angeles. It appears as though Katie Rich has left the writing staff, too. Julio Torres had told me over the summer that he would continue to write for SNL, but only when he’s not otherwise preoccupied with writing the HBO series he stars in, Los Espookys. Bowen Yang, a writer last season, received a promotion to cast member this season. Jasmine Pierce, a writer for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, has moved over to SNL. Neal Brennan shows up in the credits now, too, as does SNL creator/guru Lorne Michaels.
