Lilly Singh’s late-night NBC series gets a primetime special during debut week

NBC announced it’ll help viewers who don’t normally stay up past Late Night get a peek at the network’s newest late-late night host, Lilly Singh.

A Little Late with Lilly Singh: The Primetime Special will air at 10 p.m. Eastern/Pacific (9 p.m. Central/Mountain) on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Her show premieres that Monday, Sept. 16 (actually Tuesday, since it airs at 1:35 a.m. after Late Night with Seth Meyers).

Singh will get a definite boost, too, since her primetime special will air immediately following the finale of America’s Got Talent, NBC’s perennial summer hit.

YouTubers already know and love her. She has more than 14 million subscribers to her videos.

A Little Late with Lilly Singh: The Primetime Special will be produced by Universal Television, Unicorn Island Productions and Irwin Entertainment. Singh and John Irwin will executive produce. Aliyah Silverstein will showrun. Polly Auritt, Casey Spira, Sean O’Connor and Sarah Weichel will co-executive produce.
