After several months in TV purgatory following the death of Seeso, Take My Wife has found two new takers!
The first and second seasons of the comedy about married comedians Cameron Esposito and Rhea Butcher starring themselves and their friends became available Monday on iTunes. Come May, Take My Wife also will be available for streaming by Starz subscribers.

As my colleague at Decider noted in 2016 when the series debuted, ‘Take My Wife’ Is The Reason You Need A Seeso Subscription. But before season two could premiere last year, NBCUniversal-owned Seeso announced a halt to its original programming, and then outright deletion of the entire streaming platform.
For 9 mos we thought #TakeMyWife Season 2 wouldn’t ever be released.
Today we’re 1 & 2!! Congrats Rhea & goodnight strangers. ☺️ pic.twitter.com/aMjeXnVwTL

Yes! Happy ending! Or perhaps a new beginning!
Either way, this is great news not only for fans of the show, but also for fans of inclusion. Take My Wife featured an all-female writers room, and “involved women, queer people and people of color in all-levels and aspects of production.” They also “specifically sought out writers and actors with experience who needed credits to enter their respective guilds. These tended to be queer actors or actors of color.”

And since it’s snowing somewhere, here’s their holiday special with Tegan and Sara!

Check out Season 2 of Take My Wife on iTunes! Season 1 is there, too.
