Artie Lange joining Anthony Cumia for “The AA Show,” Artie and Anthony weekday afternoons on Compound Media

They used to compete for your laughs on morning radio, and now they’ve joined forces in the afternoon on streaming media.

Anthony Cumia announced this week that Artie Lange will join him as his permanent co-host for the newly rebranded weekday broadcast, “The AA Show,” starting Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017.

Cumia started Compound Media after getting fired from SiriusXM in 2014 to end his lengthy partnership with Gregg “Opie” Hughes over decades on both regular radio and satellite. He has since expanded Compound Media with several other comedian-hosted video broadcasts available via livestream or archives for subscribers only.

Lange, of course, was Howard Stern’s sidekick for several years on both regular syndicated radio and later SiriusXM. Lange has hosted his own Artie Quitter podcast out of his home in New Jersey for the past two years, but will be putting an end to that to join Cumia in his Manhattan studios. Lange also has performed as a recurring character in the first two seasons of HBO’s Crashing starring Pete Holmes, which wraps production on season two this week.

They’ll be on the air together from 4 to 6 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays.
