Review: Chris D’Elia “Man On Fire” on Netflix

Chris D’Elia’s third hour of stand-up comedy, and second for Netflix, just came out. He spends the majority of this hour telling us how he doesn’t want to pretend to be someone else. And yet, as I write in my review for Decider: America sees two Chris D’Elias. On TV, one Chris D’Elia outshines his co-stars in sitcoms such as NBC’s Whitney and Undateable. Onstage as a...

Leslie Jones hosted the 2017 BET Awards on Sunday night in Los Angeles, and didn’t hold back on making fun of how old-school she is and was, from noting how she’s turning 50 later this year, and showing clips of her first TV credit from Comic View back in the 1990s on big screens above her. Roll the clips! In a later bit, Jones went back in time to remember how she was still working at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles in 1994 when she made her Comic View debut. And in this video segment, Jones notes her basketball skills,...
