MADtv‘s revival happened quickly. Four months ago, The CW announced it’d reboot the old FOX late-night sketch comedy series from the 1990s and 2000s, with the original creators finding a new cast. Two months ago, they announced their new cast. Last week, they premiered in primetime! Lavell Crawford drops 120 pounds

Lavell Crawford joked about his weight and his battle with “the sugar” over the course of finishing runner-up on Last Comic Standing, panels on Chelsea Lately and his own hour-long stand-up comedy specials, and shined playing Better Call Saul‘s bodyguard/assistant on Breaking Bad. Drew Hastings faces court trial in allegations he committed felonies as mayor of Hillsboro, Ohio

Drew Hastings, the stand-up comedian with two decades of performing experience who’s serving his second four-year term as the mayor of Hillsboro, Ohio, will stand trial this fall on felony allegations including election falsification, theft, theft in office and tampering with records. Hastings entered not guilty pleas Monday at his arraignment in court. The judge also entered a pre-trial publicity order instructing everyone involved in the case to avoid commenting to the media directly or indirectly via social media.
