NBC renews “The Carmichael Show” for second season, mid-season 2015-2016

Just a week before the Fall 2015 TV season officially kicks off, NBC has awarded a second-season to summer sitcom rookie The Carmichael Show. The show stars comedian Jerrod Carmichael, who also created it alongside Nick Stoller. They executive produce with Ravi Nandan. Mike Royce, Mike Scully also wrote initial episodes. Co-stars include David Alan Grier, Loretta Devine, Amber Stevens West, Lil Rel Howery and Tiffany Haddish. It's official.
