NBC slates “Mr. Robinson” and “The Carmichael Show” for August 2015 debuts

NBC will give Wednesday nights a try for sitcoms late this summer, announcing the Aug. 5 debut pairing of Mr. Robinson and The Carmichael Show in the 9 p.m. Eastern/Pacific hour. Mr. Robinson stars Craig Robinson as a version of his bad self who sings and plays keyboards in the funk band Nasty Delicious (that’s the true part), but has a day job as a substitute high-school music teacher (which was once true, too!).
