Mike Epps to play Richard Pryor in long-awaited on-again off-again biopic

The on-again off-again Richard Pryor biopic finally looks like a go, with Lee Daniels directing, Pryor’s widow Jennifer producing along with Oprah, and Mike Epps playing the iconic stand-up comedian. Epps, 43, posed with Jennifer Lee Pryor on Sunday, and wrote @TheRealMikeEpps: “Had to kiss the ring of @jennferLpryor (sic) for the blessing !you got to be stong to have been with the king!” That was after Oprah Winfrey posted a photo of Epps with Daniels and herself, saying they’d “just finished a great 1st read session. #RichardPryorMovie”.
