Showtime renews “Inside Comedy” for 10-episode second season; wither “The Green Room”?

Showtime announced today during the TV Critics Association summer press tour that Inside Comedy had earned a 10-episode second season, which will premiere in January 2013. Among the comedians interviewed by David Steinberg this time around: Ben Stiller, Tina Fey, Judd Apatow, Carol Burnett, Jim Carrey, Albert Brooks and the late Robert Schimmel. Comedy Central announces roasters for Roseanne

Comedy Central has announced the preliminary roster of comedians and celebrities who’ll line up on the dais for the Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne this coming weekend. The roast tapes Aug. 4, and will debut on the cable network on Aug. 12, 2012. Your comedian roasters are, unsurprisingy, “The Roastmaster” Jeffrey Ross, Amy Schumer and Anthony Jeselnik. Josh Rabinowitz tapped as Apple Genius in new Mac ad campaign

One of Montreal’s New Faces of comedy from the 2012 Just For Laughs festival found success even before leaving the festival last weekend. Josh Rabinowitz has been tapped by Apple as its newest TV spokesman, and ads featuring Rabinowitz as an “Apple Genius” began airing over the weekend, during broadcasts of the Summer Olympics.
