IFC, JFL go into business together as production begins on “Bullet in the Face”

IFC and Just For Laughs are joining forces on a new action/comedy series, Bullet in the Face, which begins production this week in Montreal, with a TV debut on the cable channel in summer 2012. Created by Alan Spencer (from 1980s Sledge Hammer!), Bullet in the Face has a six-episode half-hour order, and stars Max Williams as Gunter Vogler, a criminal who awakens from a botched jewel heist with a new face, and then forced by the police to work undercover. This could only happen under Comcast rule, because former NBC chief Jeff Zucker probably never would have let Conan O’Brien inside 30 Rockefeller Plaza, let alone up the elevators to appear on camera last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
