Comedy Central really wants you to interact with its Roast of Charlie Sheen tonight, so much so that it has constructed a customized online dashboard encouraging you to Tweet and encouraging a competition among the roasters to see who’s the most popular of them all. They’ve also posted several video highlights already, before it even airs for the first of many times. Although will we be receiving bonus footage of Patrice Oneal’s unscripted riffing — much of which will have gotten cut from the broadcast, unfortunately? Arrested Development cast to reunite…for a New Yorker panel

This is not the Arrested Development movie post you were looking for, but you can bet somebody will bring it up when the cast reunites in person for the New Yorker Festival next month. Nancy Franklin will moderate an exclusive “Bluth family reunion” panel on Oct. 2, 2011, featuring the creator of “Arrested Development,” Mitchell Hurwitz, and the cast: Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, David Cross, Portia de Rossi, Tony Hale, Alia Shawkat, Jeffrey Tambor, and Jessica Walter. Comedy winners from the 2011 Emmy Awards

Why yes, this moment in which Amy Poehler led all of the nominees in barnstorming the stage for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy category was the bestest last night. Would it have been nice if Poehler also had won the Emmy? Why, yes, also that. But having a McCarthy win is nice in my book, too. (No relation) And as much as we all would have warmed our hearts had Emmy graced Steve Carell’s Michael Scott with a trophy, those of us who watch The Big Bang Theory know that Jim Parsons does good work.
