Johnny Knoxville to talk up return of MTV’s “Beavis and Butt-Head” with Mike Judge at Comic-Con 2011

MTV just announced that of its five shows/panels heading to San Diego later this month for the annual Comic-Con, one will include Jackass star Johnny Knoxville in an extended conversation with Mike Judge, the creator of Beavis and Butt-Head, which is returning to the airwaves for the first time since their leap to movies in 1996! In addition to Judge's one-on-one talk with Knoxville, fans will be treated to an exclusive first look at scenes from all-new episodes. That will happen at 5 p.m. July 21, 2011, at the convention's Room 6A. MTV also bring legendary writer/director Wes Craven to talk with the cast of the new horror-comedy, Death Valley, which co-stars comedians Bryan Callen and Charlie Sanders. Other MTV events at Comic-Con 2011 include a Q&A with the revamped Teen Wolf crew, and David Gordon Green will show off first clips from his new animated series, Good Vibes, which features the voices of Adam Brody, Jake Busey, Tony Hale, Debi Mazar and Alan...

Sneak some peeks at Roseanne’s Nuts, premiering July 13 on Lifetime

The Internet was abuzz today over a promo ad going on and on about Roseanne's Nuts, which is the name of Roseanne Barr's new reality series coming to Lifetime on July 13, 2011, following her new life as a nut farmer in Hawaii. Lisa Lampanelli on the heckler who turned her into an insult comic, the “Queen of Mean”

After a special sneak screening of the first two episodes of The Green Room with Paul Provenza, which returns to Showtime for its second season on July 14, 2011, Provenza convened a special live panel last night for The Creative Coalition with comedians Billy Connolly, Lisa Lampanelli, Rain Pryor and Jamie Kilstein inside The Core Club in Midtown Manhattan. One of the first topics thrown at the panel was dealing with hecklers, and Lampanelli told the story of how one of her very first shows as an MC included a heckler who prompted her to change her entire act and become the insult comedian that made her a star and the self-described "Queen of Mean." Lampanelli told the audience she was working a gig with her first husband: "So I went up and I was emceeing, and everybody knows that the MC goes up and does five minutes, and then they bring up the next act. So I do my five minutes, and I did OK for like my fifth time onstage, and my poor husband, with his retarded jokes and horrible one-liners — we were divorced, by the way, before he died, so it's OK, I felt really bad when he died, I'll mourn later.
