Reese Waters makes his network TV debut on Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson

Reese Waters was supposed to be on Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson earlier this month, but got bumped to last Friday. In his network TV debut, Waters jokes about trying to quit smoking and his relationship with his ex-girlfriend (fun fact: who also is a stand-up comedian). Another fun fact: Waters used to work with Jenn Sterger on the Versus sports-talk show, The Daily Line. OK. Enough fun facts. Time for funny jokes. Roll the clip!...

On Conan: Al Madrigal describes his day with a day laborer

Al Madrigal stopped by Conan last night and described his day with a day laborer. No. Not his day as a day laborer. With one. Why did you read it the wrong way? Why did I type it the right way and then go off on this tangent? Stop looking at me like that. Madrigal has fun with his new employee, even when things go a bit awry. IKEA! Madrigal is a funny guy. Wilmer Valderrama goes la vida loca in this music video as alter-ego Eduardo Fresco

Remember when country superstar Garth Brooks tried to create a pop-star alter-ego for himself? He even managed to get his alter-ego a gig on Saturday Night Live. Oh, memories. Well, now comes Wilder Valderrama, best known previously for playing Fez on That 70s Show but now known best for playing the pickup games with young starlets. Now that he doesn't have to worry about competing with Ricky Martin for the hearts and bodies of young women, it seems Valderrama is going for it under a new name, Eduardo Fresco. His first effort is this video, The Way I Fiesta, directed by SNL/The Lonely Island's Akiva Schaffer, and featuring Clayton Vice. You can see the touch of The Lonely Island. It also falls somewhere between the worlds of Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias and the Night at the Roxbury characters from SNL. Roll the clip.   Hmmm. You can watch this character in progress on Twitter...

But Comedy Central went big this past year with the live Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear on Washington, D.C., and they could go home with four Emmys for it, nominated today in the categories: Outstanding Special Class Special, Outstanding Special Class Writing, Outstanding Achievement in Technical Direction/Electronic Camera/Video Control and Outstanding Achievement in Live & Direct To Tape Sound Mixing. Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert co-hosted the rally that drew close to 200,000 fans to D.C. in October 2010, just before the mid-term Congressional elections. Other nominations of note for comedians and comedy fans: The Electric Company, which features Chris "Shockwave" Sullivan and often other members of Freestyle Love Supreme, is up for Outstanding Children's Series Cash Cab, with host Ben Bailey, again is up for Outstanding Game/Audience Participation Show, up against Jeopardy, The Price is Right (with host Drew Carey), and Wheel of Fortune Ben Bailey also is up for Outstanding Game Show Host, against Todd Newton, Wayne Brady, and Meredith Vieira. The Ellen DeGeneres Show is nominated for Outstanding Talk Show Entertainment, up against Live with Regis and Kelly, Rachael Ray, and The View Martin Short provided the voice of The Cat in the Hat in a PBS program, and he's nominated for Outstanding Performer in...
