Blast from the past: Onyx goes “Hardcore TV” for its Happy Hanukkah Rap

OK, people. Raise your hands if you remember when Onyx recorded a very NSFW Hanukkah rap for an HBO series called Hardcore TV in the early 1990s. Raise your hands if you remember Onyx? Raise your hands if you just don't care. Now you're getting it… My Damn Channel reminded us of this raunchy Jewish jingle a few years ago, and like that, they're back this week with another reminder that 'tis the season to light the menorahs. Look out, Comic Strip Live: Hollywood’s Laugh Factory aims for world record marathon show

In June 2008, the Comic Strip Live comedy club in New York City established a Guinness world record for longest stand-up comedy show with a 50-hour marathon. Starting on Monday, Dec. 6, The Laugh Factory in Hollywood, Calif., plans to break that record and then some, aiming to host upward of 80 hours of continuous stand-up comedy on its stage in a holiday charity drive it's calling "Toy to the World." The show will begin at 2 p.m. Monday and extend into Thursday, with each comedian performing for at least 15 minutes — Jamie Masada's club already is encouraging stand-ups to go for Dane Cook's personal endurance record of more than seven hours (when Cook and Chappelle were taking turns holding court there a few years ago) — with at least 10 audience members in the club throughout the event. On the flier above, you can see some of the names advertised as participating. According to the event's Facebook page, they've lined up the following comedians already: Dane Cook, Tim Allen, Bob Saget, Paul Rodriguez, Bobby Lee, Natasha Leggero, Kevin Nealon, Tom Arnold, Nick Thune, Deon Cole, T.J. Miller, Russell Peters and Harland Williams. Admission is a new toy in its original packaging worth $20 or more (or a gift card equivalent), with extra toys and donations for Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
