Sleepwalk With Me extended through March 2009

Via Playbill, news is good for Mike Birbiglia's Off-Broadway one-man show, Sleepwalk With Me, good enough that he'll continue telling his uncomfortable stories through March 22, 2009. So if you want to see Birbiglia, you'll know where to find him. Also, a reminder that tonight, Ira Glass joins Birbiglia for a post-show segment called "An Awkward 10 Minutes with...

John Mulaney & Nick Kroll write a major motion picture for Tracy Morgan and TJ Miller

Oh, Hello! Paramount Pictures announced today it'll make Freshman Roommates, a comedy movie starring Tracy Morgan and TJ Miller, and written by comedians John Mulaney and Nick Kroll — based on the premise that one of the many scam e-mails from an African prince looking to inherit his wealth is, in fact, not a scam at all. The Comic's Comic contacted Mulaney and Kroll today and asked them very briefly to state why they pitched and sold Freshman Roommates before exploring an Oh, Hello! feature. They politely replied: "You have to make your Coming to America...

MTV announced a slate of upcoming TV programming for 2009, and the young lads and lasses at will get prime-time exposure on old-school televisions (they've been on new-school Internets for years already exposing themselves). As the dot-com's co-founder and editor-in-chief, Ricky Van Veen, put it: "MTV, drunk on profits from The Hills, decided to give us our own TV show." We shall presume that the TV show will be less of a massive fraud than The Hills is, despite the presence of a dinosaur in the video tease below. Enjoy! In real-life, the New Zealand comedy music duo Flight of the Conchords won a Grammy this year and is up for another one in 2009. In their HBO show, however, Bret and Jermaine are still trying to catch a break as the second season opens. Funny or Die gets to bring us the premiere a month before it airs on HBO, for American audiences only (sorry, not my call), so watch it now, and see what happens. Greg Proops, Andrea Rosen and Andrew Secunda make appearances, as well as season one regulars Kristen Schaal and Arj Barker. There's also a subplot for Crazy Doggs (the competing band from Todd Barry and Demetri Martin). Watch to the end, and you'll also get a sneak peek at the HBO comedy, East Bound & Down, featuring Danny McBride, Will Ferrell and Andrew Daly. Enjoy! Season 2 Online Premiere – Flight of the Conchords (US Only) – watch more funny...
