It was another great night both for Jordan Peele and HBO as the awards season swung through the Writers Guild of America on Sunday night. Peele won for Original Screenplay for his first feature film, Get Out, while HBO played host to the writers for both Best Comedy Series, Veep, and best comedy/variety talk series, Last Week Tonight. Summer SNL Weekend Update writing staff includes once-suspended Katie Rich

Saturday Night Live brought back a limited-edition primetime half-hour version of Weekend Update last night. It’s not exactly the same as when they first tried this in 2008.
