New Disney movie schedule includes a big-screen Bob’s Burgers film for 2020

After finalizing its acquisition of FOX, Disney released a new movie slate going all the way out to 2027, forecasting multiple new movies for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars, Avatar, Pixar, regular Disney animation, and even Indiana Jones. And, oh yeah, a Bob’s Burgers movie?

You better believe it!

The updated Walt Disney Studios schedule lists a Bob’s Burgers movie release date of July 17, 2020.

Perhaps not coincidentally, 20th Century Fox TV (now part of Disney) also announced a new three-year deal for Bob’s Burgers executive producers Lizzie and Wendy Molyneux. The updated deal includes the TV series (renewed to season 10) plus other projects in development with the network.

“Wendy and Lizzie are hilarious writers who have had a long history with this studio and we are so glad this will now formally become their exclusive home,” added Jonnie Davis, President of Creative Affairs, 20th Century Fox TV. “They’ve been incredible contributors to our gem, Bob’s Burgers, Loren loves them and our head of animation Marci Proietto has been their champion, for good reason. It’s no accident that their new animated series in the works for Fox attracted an all-star voice cast; it’s just that special, as are they.”

The Bob’s Burgers voice cast features Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Kristen Schaal, Eugene Mirman and Dan Mintz as the Belcher family.
