The Lonely Island announces first-ever tour, heading across America summer 2019

Last summer, The Lonely Island performed live in concert for their first time as a band at Comedy Central’s Clusterfest in San Francisco.

This summer, they’re going on their first tour.

Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone today announced their first ever multi-city tour, kicking off on June 15 at the Bonnaroo festival. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will make seven more stops in the U.S. this summer including Philadelphia, New York City, Boston and more, before wrapping June 29 in Minneapolis.

The Lonely Island ushered in the digital era at Saturday Night Live. The trio has since amassed over 6.8 million subscribers on YouTube and over 2.3 billion views on their YouTube channel. They have achieved multiple RIAA certified hits, including 2X Platinum single (“I’m On A Boat”), Platinum singles (“Jizz In My Pants”,  “I Just Had Sex”, “Everything is Awesome”) and Gold single (“Like A Boss”). Their singles “I’m On A Boat” and album “Turtleneck & Chain” were both nominated for Grammys. In 2014, the group co-wrote “Everything is Awesome,” the theme song to the Oscar® nominated film, The Lego Movie. The song was performed by Tegan ad Sara in collaboration with the trio. It was nominated for Best Original Song at the 2015 Oscars®. Most recently, The Lonely Island teamed up with Beck and Robyn for the song “Super Cool” for The Lego Movie 2.
