Here are your 2019 Golden Globes nominees for comedy (and musical, and sometimes dramatic comedy)

It’s not every year we get major news on four different major awards in 24 hours, but 2018 is not every year.

The Golden Globes decided they enjoyed seeing Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg present one award together so much, they asked the two actors to pair up and host the whole darned thing for 2019.

Oh currently stars in BBC America’s drama Killing Eve, while SNL alum Samberg finds his sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine moving from FOX to NBC this January. The 2019 Globes will air live on NBC coast to coast Sunday, Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from The Beverly Hilton.

I’ve stopped trying to figure out the Globes.

Sure, they’ve always had their issues, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, what with their love of stars over everything, and sticking comedies and musicals together. But this year, they’ve put musicals in dramas, comedies in drama, and who know what labels mean any longer. But I suppose if you had me deciding the nominations for Bollywood’s major awards next year, I might make some choices that baffle Indians, too.

So here we are.
