Conan airs final regular hour show on TBS, but launches a podcast and more

Believe it or not, the final episode of Conan on TBS aired tonight.

The regular weeknight show is going on hiatus until January 2019, when it’ll return in a new comedy-packed half-hour format.

In the meantime, Conan O’Brien is keeping busy and won’t be far from your eyeballs and ear holes. We’ve already told you about his 18-city stand-up tour, which starts in November and runs through mid-December. Plus, Team Coco already has filmed its next travel special, Conan In Japan, which will air at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018.

And here’s new news: Team Coco is launching a podcast! O’Brien previously had put out 16 video podcasts called Serious Jibber-Jabber.

Now he’s got an official podcast on the iTunes (er, excuse us, Apple has rebranded it as Apple Podcasts) called “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend.” He’s already put up a teaser episode for you.

But not all the news is happy tonight.

For the final hourlong version also meant a farewell to the band.
