Comedy Central assembling top-notch dais for Roast of Bruce Willis

Comedy Central has sometimes leaned into stunt casting celebrities for its roasts. How else to explain “The Situation”?

The situation for 2018’s upcoming Roast of Bruce Willis is much more legit, stacked with stars who either have gravitas and/or deep connections to the roastee of honor.

Of course, Comedy Central already had announced that Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who co-starred with Willis as a younger version of him in Looper, will serve as the official Roast Master. Now they’ve also lined up Cybill Shepherd, who starred with Willis in his breakthrough role on TV’s Moonlighting; Edward Norton, who co-stars with and directs Willis in the upcoming film, Motherless Brooklyn; and Kevin Pollak, who has co-starred in three Willis movies.

Confirmed comedians on the dais will include Nikki Glaser, Lil Rel Howery, Dom Irrera, and of course, Jeff Ross.

More to be announced soon!

The #BruceWillisRoast will tape at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 14 and will premiere on Sunday, July 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
