Nick DiPaolo sucker-punched after comedy club show in New York suburbs

Nick DiPaolo had finished his headlining set Sunday night at Levity Live in West Nyack, NY, and was meeting with fans when a man said his daughter wanted to punch the comedian in the face, and before he knew it, the woman had done just that.

“I was sucker punched,” DiPaolo said.

Suffice it to say, she didn’t like his act, which is politically conservative. The comedian called in Monday to The Mike Calta Show on Sarasota, Florida’s 102.5 FM to talk about what happened. DiPaolo said he reported the assault to police and intends to sue the woman. Oh, and he cracked plenty of jokes, too.

No word yet on whether Levity Live captured the incident on video.
