Drew Michael has filmed his own HBO stand-up special

I could use a dose of Drew Michael’s comedy wisdom every day.

Sometime soon, we’ll all be treated to an hour of it. HBO announced today it has wrapped production on Michael’s first stand-up special, which also will feature Suki Waterhouse and be directed by Jerrod Carmichael. Shot in Los Angeles last month, the special will debut on the network later this year.

Michael is a former Saturday Night Live writer with a previous half-hour Comedy Central special to his credit.

Carmichael, Ravi Nandan and Chris Storer serve as EPs; it’s produced by A24 Television. More details to come.
