Comedy Central expands Up Next showcases at Clusterfest to include sketch/variety acts in addition to stand-ups

Look out, Montreal’s New Faces (now sponsored by ICM!)! There’s a new comedy showcase coming for your prestige.

Comedy Central’s Up Next, which debuted last year at the inaugural Clusterfest in San Francisco, is expanding in year two to include not only up-and-coming stand-ups, but also sketch comedians and variety acts.

Chris Redd will host with special guest Tim Dillon on the first showcase Friday, June 1; Julian McCullough hosts with guest Mark Normand on Saturday; and Matthew Broussard hosts the variety showcase on Sunday. All shows will be held at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in the 415 Comedy Club room during Clusterfest.

Up Next is an annual showcase featuring a wide range of diversely talented comedians who have been selected by Comedy Central following a nationwide search.

The curated showcases for 2018 will feature the following comedians:

Friday, June 1 from 7-8 p.m. (stand-up)

Saturday, June 2 from 5:45-6:45 p.m. (stand-up)

Sunday, June 3 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. (variety)

Clusterfest is co-produced by Comedy Central and Superfly, the brains behind Bonnaroo, and Outside Lands co-producer Another Planet Entertainment. The three-day comedy and music festival takes place in San Francisco June 1-3, 2018 and tickets are on sale at www.clusterfest.com.
