E! orders up Stand Up 2 The Streets live show as “Funny Dance Show”

Congrats to Justine Marino and Heidi Heaslet!

After more than a year of live monthly shows in The Comedy Store’s Belly Room, Marino and Heaslet have sold their “Stand Up 2 the Streets” comedy dance competition as a TV series to E!

The network announced it’ll adapt the live show as a one-hour TV series, with Marino and Heaslet hosting and repping their own dance crews made up of two comedians each. They dance off in front of celebrity judges, who are famous dancers as seen on TV and movies in their own right. Stand-up comedian Justin Martindale will anchor the judging; he already sits in as the only regular judge for the monthly live shows.

I saw Stand Up 2 the Streets last June, and enjoyed a front-row seat to the action from winning team Chris Redd and Becky Robinson (as pictured here, with Marino).

The Funny Dance Show (working title) will debut on E! soon. It’s produced by Ugly Brother with Mike Duffy, Tim Duffy, Justine Marino and Heidi Heaslet serving as Executive Producers.
