Interesting in that they staged self-aware comedy sketches in front of the live audience, while filming it as if they were somewhere else.
Special in seeing which comedians took the benefit as a challenge to see how edgy they could be, while others took it as a challenge to show their comedy chops.
Tiffany Haddish definitely shone brightest and best as the night’s comedy headliner. John Mulaney may be the funniest guy around right now. And Michelle Wolf definitely is keyed into the zeitgeist.
