Most of the living cast of SCTV reuniting for Netflix special directed by Martin Scorcese

The five surviving members of SCTV’s original cast, plus Martin Short, will reunite for a Netflix special filming this spring in the United States and Canada.

Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, Catherine O’Hara and Dave Thomas also are joining Short for “An Afternoon with SCTV” panel talk, moderated by Jimmy Kimmel, on May 13, 2018, at Elgin Theatre in Toronto.

Scorsese will film that talk as part of the as-of-yet-untitled Netflix special retrospective on SCTV.

The original SCTV cast, as seen on Canada’s Global network in 1976, also included the late greats John Candy and Harold Ramis. Rick Moranis, Robin Duke and the late Tony Rosato joined in season three (which aired on CBC); Short, in season four (airing on NBC and CBC). SCTV lasted for six seasons, catapulting several of its cast members to TV and movie stardom.

No word on whether Moranis or Duke will participate in the Netflix special.
