Michelle Wolf will deliver the keynote at the 2018 White House Correspondents Dinner

What a year for Michelle Wolf!

After releasing her first stand-up special over the winter on HBO, Wolf has earned her own talk show series on Netflix, and today, she’s announced as the 2018 keynote speaker for the annual White House Correspondents Dinner.

In fact:

“I’m delighted to announce ‘Nice Lady’ Michelle Wolf as our featured entertainer this year,” Margaret Talev, president of the WHCA, said. “Our dinner honors the First Amendment and strong, independent journalism. Her embrace of these values and her truth-to-power style make her a great friend to the WHCA. Her Pennsylvania roots, stints on Wall Street and in science and self-made, feminist edge make her the right voice now.”

The dinner will be held April 28, 2018.

The president almost always attends. Almost always.

President Trump skipped the 2017 dinner. He was infamously mocked from the audience by Seth Meyers (a former boss of Wolf’s at Late Night) when Meyers delivered the address for President Obama and company in 2011.
