Howie Mandel Just For Laughs Gala gets a third year on The CW

Third time’s not only the charm, but also a full-on trend, so safe to say The CW and Just For Laughs are very happy together.

After all, The CW will celebrate a third consecutive year of broadcasting the Howie Mandel Gala from Montreal’s Just For Laughs.

The 90-minute primetime stand-up showcase, taped in July at JFL, will premiere Jan. 10, 2018, on The CW, and this year feature performances from Cedric the Entertainer, Cristela Alonzo, Ron Funches, Orny Adams, Gad Elmaleh, John Heffron, Martin Urbano, and Gina Yashere.

Online on CW Seed, you also can check out another Just For Laughs festival series, Lie Detector. Hosted by Kenny and Keith Lucas, it finds The Lucas Brothers hooking up comedians to a lie detector and asking them yes or no questions. Among those submitting themselves to the test: Desus & Mero, Sasheer Zamata, Cameron Esposito, Vladimir Caamano, and many others. That also debuts on Jan. 10.

And for your Throwback Thursday needs, you also can watch 25 old JFL Galas online on CW Seed featuring all sorts of comedians before they were famous. Fun times!
