by In other Saturday Night Live news heading into its Christmas episode before winter break, Lorne Michaels announced that Michael Che and Colin Jost have been named additional co-head writers of SNL, joining Kent Sublette and Bryan Tucker.
Jost previously had served as a head writer for the long-running Emmy-winning variety show, before Michaels put him on camera and behind the Weekend Update desk with Che in 2014.
SNL also has promoted Fran Gillespie and Sudi Green to positions as writing supervisors.
